AC joint injuries

Sudden AC joint injuries (“sprains” or “separations”) typically occur by one of the following ways:

  • A fall onto the shoulder
  • Lifting weights or heaving objects

Alternatively, AC joint arthritis typically occurs slowly over time as a result of overuse.
