Cody Petrie, M.D., C.A.Q.S.M., is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine specialist practicing at Mayo Clinic Arizona. He is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Mayo Clinic and serves as the Assistant Program Director for the upcoming Mayo Clinic Arizona Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Petrie practices in both the Mayo Clinic Emergency Department and the Mayo Sports Medicine Clinic.
In his sports medicine practice, Dr. Petrie specializes in the management of a broad range of both acute and chronic sport-related injuries and orthopedic conditions. He has a strong interest in ultrasound-guided treatments and injections, concussion management, as well as injury prevention and therapy. Dr. Petrie works with athletes at all levels, from recreational to professional, and currently serves as an on-track physician for Phoenix Raceway as well as one of the team physicians for Arizona State University.
In the emergency department, Dr. Petrie specializes in the diagnosis and management of acute medical conditions, critical illness, and trauma. He has a passion for medical education and is dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients in the Mayo Clinic Emergency Department.
